Competition Information – Juniors

Winston Hills Junior Baseball Club has a long history of serving the families in the Hills District. WHJBC are part of the Hills competition which play against other local Hills teams. Teams are organised by grading of players, then teams are placed onto a league (division) to play against similarly graded teams across the competition. The number of players available to play within the Hills competition will determine the number of leagues on a yearly basis.
Players are organised by age and ability.
At every level rules and playing field dimensions are aligned to fit the physical growth and maturity of players.
  • T-Ball ages (5 – 9)
    • Players use a tee to hit the ball.
  • Modball age 10
    • Players are pitched a ball by a coach.
  • Live ball ages 11+
    • Players from opposing teams pitch to each other. There are fewer modifications to rules with playing dimensions gradually growing.
